Private NYC Tour of Central Park
There is so much to see in Central Park. All the bridges, structures, art, statues, stories behind the sculptures and all the stories and shenanigans involved in creating the first large-scale landscaped public park in the United States. In New York City there are older parks and there are larger parks (over 13% of NYC is park!) but come see why Central Park is the most visited park in the world.

Get a look at Central Park that few people, even lifelong New Yorkers, fail to recognize
If you think some of the sites in Central Park look familiar, you are not alone. Central Park is the most filmed location in the world. So, some sites will look familiar to you, even if you have never been in New York before but sites you might have seen in a movie as there have been over 350 pictures made in Central Park.
You will see:
- Some of the original 36 bridges
- Some original structures
- Some depression-era intrusions, and “improvements”
- What decades of restoration looks like!
Local & intimate
You’ll tour with just your group, giving you access to places frequented by locals and personal attention from your guide. Not a typical tourist trap tour following a flag-waving guide – you’ll get a real feel for Central park. No matter what time of year, this park is one of the most beautiful places in the world, different during each season but always incredible.
A first-of-its-kind
This is the first large, landscaped public park in the United States. The idea was kicking around for years before anything happened and the park almost ended up somewhere else.
A cultural experience
I will give you the secret history and inside story of the creation of the first large landscaped park and how it became the most visited public park in the world.
All the art, all the history, all the technical breakthroughs, all the “whys” and all the shenanigans that went into this spectacular achievement. A unique experience for seasoned locals or visitors to our fair city.
