I will lead you through the original line, discussing all the art, original station layouts and – above all – why the New York City Subway system is the safest railroad in the world. We will meet in the colonnaded area on the south side, in front of the David Dinkins Municipal Building. This is at the intersection of Chambers and Centre Streets. I will have my New York City Sightseeing Guide License plainly visible.

- Tours run regardless of weather conditions, unless it is declared a weather emergency by The City of New York. History, art and architecture happened in the rain too.
- There is no age restriction for this tour.
- There are very often few places to sit. There is standing for extended periods of time. You are the best judge of your limitations.
- There are NO RESTROOMS on this tour! Please plan accordingly.
- As the name implies – Subway – there will be stairs to deal with.
